Holy Cross 8th Grade Girls' Volleyball Team Winning Season

Congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade girls at Holy Cross School and Coach Ardith Shea in their 2014 season! The girls’ record was 11-7.

Holy Cross School fielded a combined 7th and 8th grade team that played an 8th grade schedule. They started the season strong. Injury and illness sidelined some key players and slowed the team down toward the end of the season. Led by 8th grade captains, Martha Healy and MacKenzie Lyons, the girls played hard all season.

Dr. Shea is the fourth grade teacher and parent of a Holy Cross student. She and her family reside in Highland Park. Dr. Shea began her volleyball career at Shepard Junior High School and continued at Deerfield High School and Hillsdale College. She continues to share her love of volleyball with her team and her youngest child, Shayanne, the Charger Ball Girl.
