Human Remains: Coroner Mum On Riverwoods Investigation
Nearly a week after a body was discovered in Riverwoods, the Lake County Coroner and police said there are no updates to the case.

RIVERWOODS, IL — The remains of a human were discovered on the morning of May 5 in the 1800 block of Robinwood Lane. One week later, the person's identity is still unknown, according to the Lake County Coroner's Office.
Dr. Howard Cooper told Patch Monday his office doesn't "have any information at this time."
As was reported last week, the person's bones were thought to have been in the area for some time. The person's age, gender and cause of death have also not been revealed.

"We're going to be sitting down with our anthropologist and we're going to be able to examine everything," Cooper told Patch on May 8. "Trying to do everything at the scene was just too difficult, unfortunately. We were outside, in a public area, and it was raining."
According to police, there was no threat to the community. A further investigation has continued with the assistance of the Lake County Coroner's Office and Lake County Major Crime Task Force evidence technicians.
