Lincolnshire Obit: Jeanette Barrath
Jeanette worked at Marshall Field and Company for more than a decade.

Jeanette Barrath, of Lincolnshire, IL, passed away peacefully in the early hours of January 16th, 2016. Jeanette was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1924 to John and Ella Walter and had one brother, Harold. She married John (Jack) Barrath and traveled extensively with him in the US and overseas throughout his Navy career before they settled in Glenview IL in 1962. Jeanette worked at Marshall Field and Company in its fine collectibles department for over 10 years and she and Jack were active members at Saint David’s Episcopal church in Glenview. Jeanette was predeceased by Jack in 2009 after 65 years of marriage. She is survived by her sons Paul (Geri) and Bob (Jayna) and daughter Kathy Tooredman (David), her grandchildren Jessica Tooredman Casey (Mike), Scott Tooredman, and Tom and John Barrath, and great-grandchildren Beatrice, Walter, and Alice Casey. Jeanette was an elegant, gracious, and outgoing woman with an infectious smile and a strong spirit. She enjoyed a long life, a remarkable marriage, and a devoted family. She is greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. Her friends and family will be invited to a memorial service to be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 6, 2016 in the Garden Room of the Radford Green Health Care and Rehabilitation facility in Lincolnshire, 960 Audubon Way, Lincolnshire, IL 60069.
