Lincolnshire Obituary: Edward N. Grskovich, 85
Ed had a long career as vice president of IT at Chicago Title and Trust Company.

Edward N Grskovich, 85, of Lincolnshire, IL, passed away September 28, 2015. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Darlene Foley, his children Kathryn White, Philip Gerskovich, Karolyn Cella, Edward J Gerskovich, Stephen Gerskovich, and step-children Kathleen Walls, Patti Smentek, Michael Foley. He deeply loved and enjoyed his 8 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, who always brought a smile to his face. Ed was the oldest of 5 siblings, and will be warmly remembered by his sister Mary Repay, brothers John Grskovich, James Grskovich, and Joseph Grskovich. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Antonia, first wife Therese, and infant son Mark.
Ed graduated with a law degree from DePaul University, and earned an MBA from the University of Chicago. He had a long career at Chicago Title and Trust Company, where he was Vice President of Information Technology. Later he headed IT at VMS Realty, Inc. Ed was a man of many talents and interests, including landscaping, gardening, home remodeling, photography, painting, writing, and baking. A fine craftsman, he found an intellectual angle to the simplest of tasks. Always curious, he kept up with the latest technology until his death. Ed had a quick and dry wit, a kind and generous heart.
Visitation will take place at Wenban Funeral Home, 320 E Vine, Lake Forest, IL on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 4 to 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11:00 am at Church of St Mary’s, 175 E Illinois Road, Lake Forest, IL. Interment to follow the mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lake Forest. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, PO Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.
