Lincolnshire Obituary: John H. Trustdorf, 95
John was a naval Chief Petty Officer aboard the USS Pensacola in World War II.

John H. Trustdorf, 95, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2015 in his home in Lincolnshire, IL. Beloved husband to Mary Jane; loving father to Barbara (Jim) Beard and Christine (Steve) Goldner; loving uncle to Gail Ann Smith; and beloved grandfather to Nicholas (Kat) Beard, Elle (Jacob) Hempen, and Jessica Goldner.
John received a degree in Soil and Water Conservation from Michigan State University and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and MSU football and basketball. John served our country as a naval Chief Petty Officer aboard the USS Pensacola in World War II, and was involved in every major naval battle occurring in the Pacific. Afterwards, he served in the Naval Reserves.
A service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church of Deerfield, 824 Waukegan Road, Deerfield, IL 60015. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to Crystal Lake & Watershed Association, P.O. Box 89, Beulah, MI 49617. Phone: 231.882.4001.
