I-94 Traffic: Major Delays On Tri-State, Kennedy After Crashes

DEERFIELD, IL — A traffic crash shut down multiple lanes of the southbound Tri-State Tollway Monday morning, with major delays reported on several north suburban roads.

The three right lanes of I-94 were blocked around 7 a.m. due to a traffic crash. All lanes are now open, but delays remain on the southbound Edens from Dempster.

In Lake Forest, there are accidents reported on southbound US-41 at Westleigh Road and northbound IL-43 at Everett Road, which is reduced to one lane in both directions.

An accident has also been reported on the outbound Kennedy at Cumberland Ave. Fire and police are on scene but there are major delays on I-90/I-94 extending all the way to the Loop.

Drivers may wish to consider alternate routes where possible.

There were no immediate reports of injuries from accidents on north suburban roadways.

One person was reported dead from a crash in Aurora early Monday.
