Man Arrested For Counterfeiting Warrant: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS

OPERATING A COMMERCIAL VEHICLE WITHOUT A CDL

Volodymyr Voloshyn, 36, of Hallendale Beach, Florida, is accused of operating a commercial vehicle without a CDL, overweight on registration, and was arrested Dec. 17 at Route 12 and Deer Park Boulevard, Deer Park. He was released following his arrest.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED/SUSPENDED

• Josiah J. Giles, 20, of the 500 block of Lakehurst Road, Waukegan, had a warrant for driving while license suspended, and was arrested Dec. 18 in the 100 block of Route 83, Mundelein. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 9, 2025.
• Ibraheem K. Abdel-Rahman, 33, of the 18800 block of Caraway Court, Mokena, had a warrant out of DuPage County for driving while license suspended, and was arrested Dec. 20 in the 100 block of Route 83, unincorporated Mundelein. A future court date in DuPage County was to be determined at the time of the report.
• Gary W. Rabon, 47, of the 15200 block of W. Walnut Drive, unincorporated Deerfield, is accused of aggravated driving while license suspended, no insurance, and was arrested Dec. 22 at Route 21 and Pekara Drive, unincorporated Deerfield. He was released and a future court date was to be determined at the time of the report.

COUNTERFEITING

Marthesha M. James, 41, of the 4600 block of W. Adams Street, Chicago, had a warrant for counterfeiting, theft, out of Porter County, Indiana, and was arrested Dec. 19 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. A future court date in Porter County was to be determined at the time of the report.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Meliton Ramirez-Felix, 48, of the 100 block of Sanctuary Drive, Island Lake, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, open transportation of alcohol, and was arrested Dec. 21 at Rollins and Fairfield roads, Round Lake Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 5, 2025.
• Rafael Miranda, 45, of the 200 block of Geneva Terrace, Round Lake Beach, had a warrant for DUI, and was arrested Dec. 22 at Route 45 and Rollins Road, unincorporated Gurnee. He was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and a court date of Dec. 23 was assigned.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON

Nathan A. Ricks, 22, of the 3900 block of Peace Lane, Zion, is accused of unlawful possession of a weapon, and was arrested Dec. 22 in the 26300 block of N. Acorn Lane, unincorporated Mundelein. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 8, 2025.
