Man Batters Correctional Officer: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

Blake M. Wittkamp, 29, of the 5000 block of N. Parkside Avenue, Chicago, is accused of driving while license suspended, suspended registration, and was arrested May 26 at Route 173 and Tiffany Road, Antioch. He was released following his arrest.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Alexander J. Munoz, 26, of the 2300 block of W. 21st Street, Zion, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while license revoked, and was arrested May 27 at Route 173 and Green Bay Road, Zion. He was released and assigned a court date of June 16.
• Jason Rivera, 23, of the 3400 block of Eva Avenue, Park City, is accused of DUI alcohol, leaving the scene of a crash, and was arrested May 28 in the 3400 block of Eva Avenue, Park City. He was released and assigned a court date of June 25.
• Ofelia Hurtado, 54, of the 200 block of Bluff Court, Waukegan is accused of DUI alcohol, driving while license suspended, no insurance, reckless conduct, and was arrested May 30 in the 29300 block of N. Waukegan Road, unincorporated Lake Bluff. She was released and assigned a court date of July 9.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY TO A CORRECTIONAL OFFICER

Michael Edmond, 34, of the 2000 block of S. Morgan Avenue, Chicago, is accused of aggravated battery to a correctional officer, resisting arrest, and was arrested May 29 at Lake County Jail. He was being detained in Lake County Jail at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of June 10.

RETAIL THEFT

• Scott J. Miller, 62, of the 7100 block of S. Cornell Avenue, Chicago, had a warrant for retail theft, and was arrested May 29 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of July 1.
• Monica M. Davis, 62, of the 500 block of Meadow Green Lane, Round Lake Beach, had a warrant for retail theft, and was arrested June 1 in the 26200 block of Route 173, unincorporated Antioch. She was released and assigned a court date of July 15.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Remorrian Gordan, 23, of the 2100 block of Wright Avenue, North Chicago, had a warrant for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and was arrested May 29 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of June 16.

NO DRIVER'S LICENSE

Aaron L. Del Rio Contreras, 18, of the 4100 block of Lukie Court, Zion, is accused of no driver's license, no insurance, and was arrested May 29 at Route 120 and Hunt Club Road, Gurnee. He was released following his arrest.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Nicholas D. Watkins, 25, of the 36600 block of Streamwood Drive, unincorporated Gurnee, is accused of criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and was arrested May 30 in the 36600 block of Streamwood Drive, unincorporated Gurnee. He was released and assigned a court date of July 16.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY TO A PEACE OFFICER

Damien Munyon, 30, of the 1300 block of Cromwell Court, Vernon Hills, is accused of aggravated battery to a peace officer, resisting arrest, and was arrested May 31 at Yorkhouse and Sheridan roads, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of June 18.

ROBBERY

• Anna M. Salome, 46, of the 38200 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park, had a warrant for robbery, and was arrested June 1 in the 38200 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park. He was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and a court date of June 3 was assigned.
• Luis A. Salome-Cruz, 26, of the 38200 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park, had a warrant for robbery, and was arrested June 1 in the 38200 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park. He was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and a court date of June 3 was assigned.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METH

Armando Dematias-Silva, 28, of the 1400 block of Canterbury Lane, Mundelein, had a warrant for unlawful possession of meth, and was arrested June 1 at Route 60/83 and Acorn Drive, unincorporated Mundelein. He was released and assigned a court date of June 10 was assigned.

RESISTING A PEACE OFFICER

Ricardo Juarez-Tapia, 36, of the 1300 block of Anthony Road, Wheeling, is accused of resisting a peace officer, open transportation of alcohol, and was arrested June 1 at Route 45 and Rollins Road, unincorporated Gurnee. He was released and assigned a court date of July 9.
