Man Charged With Misusing 911: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS

RETAIL THEFT

Augustus G. McKinnie, 44, of Racine, Wisconsin, had a warrant for retail theft, and was arrested Dec. 2 in the 0-100 block of N. County Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 19.

OBSTRUCTING IDENTIFICATION

• Prince L. Pringle, 39, of the 2100 block of Georgetown Lane, Waukegan, had a warrant for obstructing identification, and was arrested Dec. 2 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 19.
• Leroy R. Bracey, 39, of the 4200 block of Cullerton Avenue, Chicago, had a warrant for obstructing identification, and was arrested Dec. 3 in the 0-100 block of N. County Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 30.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Emily Hagen, 23, of the 3500 block of Pearl Street, Belvidere, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident, and was arrested Dec. 2 in the 26400 block of W. Shannon Avenue, unincorporated Antioch. She was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 22, 2025.
• Ismael Garcia Suarez, 26, of the 38500 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park, is accused of DUI alcohol, driving while license suspended, leaving the scene of an accident, and was arrested Dec. 7 in the 38500 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 22, 2025.
• Cameron A. Connard, 28, of the 100 block of Wildflower Lane, Round Lake Beach, is accused of aggravated DUI, driving while license revoked, and was arrested Dec. 7 at Washington Street and Chesapeake Boulevard, Grayslake. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 19.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO PROPERTY

Taris M. Stokes, 59, of the 600 block of S. Green Bay Road, Waukegan, had a warrant for criminal trespass to property, and was arrested Dec. 3 in the 0-100 block of N. County Street. Stokes was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 9, 2025.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Urbano Antunez, 30, of the 300 block of Green Bay Road, Highwood, had a warrant for criminal damage to property, and was arrested Dec. 5 in the 0-100 block of N. County Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 16, 2025.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY

Luis V. Sanchez, 59, of the 1000 block of 14th Street, North Chicago, had a warrant for aggravated battery, and was arrested Dec. 5 at 14th Street and Jackson Street, North Chicago. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 16, 2025.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Arturo Ibarra Garcia, 34, of the 38000 block of N. Cornell Road, Beach Park, is accused of disorderly conduct (misuse of 911), and was arrested Dec. 5 in the 38000 block of N. Cornell Road, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 20.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED

• Aphiwe S. Shabalala, 20, of the 300 block of Meadow Green Drive, Round Lake Beach, is accused of driving while license suspended, improper transportation of cannabis, and was arrested Dec. 5 at Route 45 and Rollins Road, unincorporated Gurnee. They were released following the arrest.
• Cedric D. Brown, 33, of the 400 block of N. Sheridan Road, Waukegan, had a warrant for driving while license suspended, and was arrested Dec. 7 in the 39000 block of N. Lewis Avenue, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 7, 2025.

OPERATING WATERCRAFT UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL

Allison M. Mainhart, 33, of the 20700 block of W. Lake Cook Road, unincorporated Palatine, had a warrant for operating watercraft under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Dec. 7 in the 20700 block of W. Lake Cook Road, unincorporated Palatine. She was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of Dec. 18.
