New Pizza Place at Deerbrook Mall

MOD Pizza opened on Tuesday.

Residents of Deerfield now have an option for fast-casual pizza.

Seattle-based MOD Pizza opened on Tuesday at 70 S. Waukegan in a newly built Deerbrook Mall building already occupied by a Subway.

According to the Deerfied Review, MOD touts itself as “a cool place to eat,” as customers create their own personal pizzas that cook in an 800-degree and are ready in less than three minutes. Pizzas - and salads - are the same price regardless of the number of toppings ordered.

“We’re looking forward to Deerbrook Mall redeveloping in an orderly manner, and this is one of the newest businesses that will be opening, and we’re very excited,” she said.

The Deerfield location is MOD’s second in Chicagoland, already operating a restaurant in Naperville.
