Find out where to mark Memorial Day with parades and ceremonies on the North Shore.

Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial beginning of summer, as Americans gather together to remember the service of those who have fought and died on behalf of the United States. Communities across Chicago's North Shore will be marking Memorial Day 2017 on Monday with parades, memorials and other ceremonies.

We've provided listings to some of those events below. Many local government facilities will be closed for the day or have changes to services schedule, so we've also noted information about closures or schedule changes where it's been available.
