Parkway Tree Trimming Starts Jan. 16 In Deerfield

The work will primarily take place in the northeast quadrant of the Village, according to officials.

DEERFIELD, IL — A parkway tree trimming program is scheduled to get underway later this month in Deerfield. According to Village officials, the work will begin Monday, Jan. 16.

The Village’s contractor, Advanced Tree Care, will complete the work within two weeks, weather depending. Officials said the work will primarily take place in the northeast quadrant of the Village.

According to tree experts, trimming work is scheduled for the dormant season to avoid unnecessary damage or trauma to the tree. Trimming is done in accordance with professional standards and may include cutting lower limbs for clearance and thinning of the crown, according to the Village.
