Pet Store Plans Deerfield Opening This Summer
Location at Waukegan and Deerfield roads will be first in Illinois for PetPeople.

A new pet store will open in Deerfield’s central business district in August.
PetPeople, an Ohio-based business, will open its first Illinois location at the southeast corner of Waukegan and Deerfield roads, the Deerfield Review reports.
“A lot of people have called us Whole Foods for dogs and cats,” PetPeople Marketing Manager Terri Montigny said. “Our focus is on healthy eating for pets. We carry a lot of specialty food. I have multiple pets and I keep four different kinds of food.”
