PHOTOS: Berto Center Becomes Venue One North Shore

Just as members of the Deerfield Police Department and Deerfield Bannockburn Fire Department were clearing the Berto Center court folowing the final basketball game to eveer be played at the facility, the wrecking ball was moving in.

That’s because the 550 Lake Cook Road site in Deerfield is switching its purpose from hosting some of the world’s greatest basketball players to hosting elegant events and providing North Shore residents access to the high-life often only seen in downtown Chicago.
