Retail Theft By Emergency Exit Bust: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Ignacio Cervantes, 41, of the 1600 block of Boardman Street, Waukegan, is accused of disorderly conduct, harassment through electronic communication, and was arrested Dec. 12 in the 12500 block of W. Paddock Ave., Beach Park. Bond was set at $1,500 and a court date of Jan. 16, 2023, was assigned.

RETAIL THEFT

Jaquion M. Glenn, 18, of the 2300 block of Lewis Ave., Zion, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested Dec. 12 in the 3100 block of N. Lewis Avenue, Waukegan. Bond was set at $1,500 and a court date of Jan. 9, 2023, was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Heather R. Rondon, 38, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Dec. 12 at Delany Road and Russell Road, unincorporated Zion. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Jan. 18, 2023, was assigned.
• Raquel D. Hirsh, 61, of the 21500 block of W. Field Court, Deer Park, is accused of driving under the influence of drugs, no insurance, and was arrested Dec. 14 at Route 12 and Lake Cook Road, Deer Park. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Jan. 25, 2023, was assigned.
• Jesus M. Lopez Ortiz, 25, of the 300 block of Quaker Hollow Lane, Round Lake Beach, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, no insurance, and was arrested Dec. 14 at Route 134 and Harrison Avenue, unincorporated Round Lake. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Jan. 25, 2023, was assigned.
• David G. Torres, 40, of the 1400 block of N. Jackson Street, Waukegan, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence, and was arrested Dec. 15 at Sheridan Road and Wadsworth Road, Beach Park. Bond was set at $200,000 and a court date of Dec. 27 was assigned.
• Alma Morales Martinez, 39, of the 400 block of Thelma Court, Wheeling, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Dec. 16 at Quentin Road and Long Grove Road, Deer Park. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 22, 2023, was assigned.
• Tomas Santos, 29, of the 3300 block of Betty Drive, Arlington Heights, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence, open transportation of alcohol, and was arrested Dec. 18 at Sheridan Road and Ridgeland Avenue, Beach Park. Bond was set at $200,000 and a court date of Dec. 29 was assigned.

RETAIL THEFT BY EMERGENCY EXIT

Haris Matchalovas, 39, of the 2400 block of Mark Avenue, Zion, had a warrant obtained for retail theft by emergency exit on Dec. 13 in the 2900 block of N. Riverwoods Road. Bond was set at $200,000. A future court date was to be determined at the time of the report.

VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

Gregory S. McCastle, 62, of the 34300 block of N. Aster Court, unincorporated Round Lake, is accused of violation of an order of protection, and was arrested Dec. 13, in unincorporated Round Lake. Bond was set at $35,000 and a court date of Dec. 22 was assigned.

DRIVING WITH A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE

• David Rojas-Nunez, 40, of the 1700 block of Yorkhouse Road, Waukegan, is accused of driving while license revoked, driving with a suspended registration, no insurance, and was arrested Dec. 13 at Lewis and Sunset avenues, Waukegan. Bond was set at $2,000.
• Dwayne W. Wates, 32, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, is accused of aggravated driving while license revoked, no insurance, and was arrested Dec. 13 at Sheridan and Wadsworth roads, Beach Park. Bond was set at $50,000. A future court date was to be determined at the time of the report.
• Joel E. Friedman, 64, of the 700 block of Links Court, Riverwoods, had a warrant out of DuPage County for driving while license suspended, and was arrested Dec. 14 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. Bond was set at $3,000 and a future court date in DuPage County was to be determined at the time of the report.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO PROPERTY

Nicholas Domenico, 34, of the 1100 block of Franklin Lane, Wauconda, is accused of criminal trespass to property, and was arrested Dec. 13 in the 26800 block of N. Oakdale Lane, unincorporated Mundelein. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Dec. 22 was assigned.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

• Latasha W. Cunningham, 48, of the 17600 block of W. Wakefield Drive, Beach Park, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested Dec. 15 in the 12800 block of W. Wakefield Drive, Beach Park. Bond was set at $35,000 and a court date of Dec. 22 was assigned.
• Marc A. Rettig, 43, of the 17600 block of W. Horseshoe Lane, unincorporated Gurnee, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested Dec. 15 in unincorporated Gurnee. Bond was set at $35,000 and a court date of Dec. 20 was assigned.
