Sex Offender Charged With Living Near School: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS

ATTEMPT TO FLEE/ELUDE

Jose R. Tavarez Lozano, 43, of the 2200 block of Jethro Avenue, Zion, is accused of attempting to flee/elude, reckless driving, driving while license suspended, no insurance, and was arrested March 30 at Wadsworth Road and Gabriel Avenue, Beach Park. He was released following his arrest.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Florentino G. Ruiz Sanchez, 53, of the 38200 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, open transportation of alcohol, no insurance, and was arrested March 30 at Sheridan and Beach roads, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of April 22.
• Pablo Barrios Arriaga, 22, of the 300 block of Kenwood Drive, Round Lake Park, is accused of DUI alcohol, open transportation of alcohol, no driver's license, and was arrested March 30 at Sheridan Road and Greenwood Avenue, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of April 22.
• Austin H. Blank, 66, of the 20700 block of W. Verona Avenue, unincorporated Lake Villa, had a warrant for DUI alcohol, and was arrested April 1 in the 1900 block of E. Grand Avenue, Lindenhurst. He was released and assigned a court date of April 29.

SEX OFFENDER RESIDING NEAR PARK/SCHOOL

Christopher J. Stanley, 52, no permanent address, is accused of sexual offender residing near a park/school, and was arrested March 31 in the 0-100 block of S. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Waukegan. He was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and a court date of April 28 was assigned.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METH

James L. McClung, 59, of the 1300 block of Ridgeway, Round Lake Beach, had a warrant for unlawful possession of meth, and was arrested March 31 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of May 7.

THEFT

Christopher A. Metel, 31, of the 1200 block of N. Split Oak Circle, Round Lake Beach, is accused of theft, filing a false police report, and was arrested April 1 in the 38700 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of May 15.

PUBLIC INDECENCY

Joseph A. Opal, 53, of the 26200 block of W. Vista Court, Ingleside, is accused of public indecency, disorderly conduct, and was arrested April 1 in the 26200 block of W. Vista Court, Ingleside. He was released and assigned a court date of May 13.

LEAVING THE SCENE OF A CRASH

Domingo Rios Ayala, 21, of the 100 block of E. Monaville Road, Round Lake, is accused of leaving the scene of a crash, and was arrested April 2 at Route 41 and Stearns School Road, unincorporated Gurnee. He was released following his arrest.

INTIMIDATION

Johnathan A. Broking, 36, of the 200 block of S. Sheridan Road, Lakemoor, had a warrant for intimidation, harassment, and was arrested April 2 in the 200 block of S. Sheridan Road, Lakemoor. He was released and assigned a court date of May 13.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED

Dillon L. Sostre, 33, of the 800 block of New York Street, Waukegan, had a warrant for driving while license revoked, new charge of driving while license revoked, and was arrested April 5 at Wadsworth Road and Lewis Avenue, Beach Park. He was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of April 24.

BURGLARY

Jonathan R. Guzzo, 40, no permanent address, had a warrant for burglary, and was arrested April 5 at Route 41 and Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth. He was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of April 23.

RETAIL THEFT

Faith M. Sorensen, 34, of the 400 block of Buckingham Drive, Crystal Lake, had a warrant out of DuPage County for retail theft, and was arrested April 5 at Route 41 and Grand Avenue, Gurnee. A future court date in DuPage County was to be determined at the time of the report.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH A VEHICLE

Mary P. Cardoni, 33, of the 0-100 block of Hillcrest Avenue, Fox Lake, is accused of aggravated assault with a vehicle, driving while license revoked, and was arrested April 5 at Rollins Road and Lake Shore Drive, Ingleside. She was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of April 7.
