Sex Offender Fails To Register, Lives Near Playground: Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS

VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

Alexandro Lopez, 33, of the 1100 block of N Cedar Lake Road, Round Lake Beach, is accused of violation of order of protection, and was arrested July 5 in the 36700 block of N Rabbit Hill Lane, Ingleside. His bond was set at $20,000 and he was assigned a court date of July 27.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Phoenix X. Miller, 19, of the 2300 block of Joanna Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested July 5 at Russell and Kilbourne roads, Russell. Bond was set at $3,000 and Miller was assigned a court date of Oct. 6.
• Dorothy A. Parker, 30, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, is accused of having a warrant for aggravated arrest, and was arrested July 7 in the 300 block of W Washington Street, Waukegan.
• Angel O. Verduzco, 24, of the 1300 block of Hickory Street, Waukegan, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested July 8 at Sheridan and Longview roads, Waukegan. Bond was set at $3,000 and Verduzco was assigned a court date of Aug. 25.
• Brenda S. Rodriguez-Garcia, 19, of the 2100 block of Ezra Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated speeding (81 mph in a 40 mph zone), and was arrested July 9 at 29th Street and Enoch Avenue, Zion. Her bond was set at $3,000 and she was assigned a court date of Aug. 25.
• Carlos Valente-Garcia, 25, of the 300 block of Birchwood Court, Vernon Hills, is accused of driving under the alcohol, driving while license suspended, and was arrested July 10 at Washington Street and Bellevue Drive, Round Lake Park. His bond was set at $3,000 and he was assigned a court date of Aug. 26.
• Tiffany Rodriguez, 32, of the 900 block of W Seneca Trail, Round Lake Heights, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, no insurance, failure to yield to emergency vehicle (Scott's Law), no driver's license, and was arrested July 11 in the 25100 block of W Rollins Road, Ingleside. Her bond was set at $3,00o and she was assigned a court date of Aug. 18.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO PROPERTY

Thomas E. Yerman, Jr., 66, of the 28800 block of N Madison Avenue, Unincorporated Wauconda, is accused of criminal trespass to property, and was arrested in Unincorporated Wauconda. His bond was set at $1,500 and he was assigned a court date of Aug. 4.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Cheryl L. Hess, 60, of the 25300 block of Lehmann Boulevard, Unincorporated Lake Villa, is accused of criminal damage to property, criminal trespass to property, and was arrested July 6 in the 38000 block of N Academy Drive, Unincorporated Lake Villa. Her bond was set at $1,500 and she was assigned a court date of Aug. 2.

STALKING

Justin P. Forrest, 40, no permanent address, is accused of having a warrant for stalking out Racine County, Wisconsin, and was arrested July 8 in the 25300 block of Route 173, Unincorporated Antioch. His bond was set at $50,000 and he as assigned a court date of July 14.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Joseph J. Sempek, 33, of the 31200 block of N Route 45, Unincorporated Libertyville, is accused of having a warrant for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and was arrested in Unincorporated Libertyville. His bond was set at $10,000 and he was assigned a court date of July 13.

FAILURE OF REGISTERED SEXUAL OFFENDER TO REGISTER CHANGE OF ADDRESS

Raymond E. Koch, 49, of the 24300 block of Route 134, Unincorporated Round Lake, is accused of failure of registered sexual offender to register change of address, child sexual offender residing within 500 feet of a playground, and was arrested July 9 in the 300 block of Alpine Drive, Round Lake. His bond was set at $75,000 and he was assigned a court date of July 13.

RESISTING ARREST

Angel M. Salazar, 23, of the 1300 block of Walnut Circle, Round Lake Beach, is accused of having a warrant for resisting arrest, and was arrested July 9 in the 200 block of W Water Street, Waukegan. Bond was set at $35,000 and was assigned a court date of July 13.
