Stolen Car Bust Leads To Armed Robbery Warrant Arrest: Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS

SPEEDING

• A juvenile is accused of aggravated speeding (81 mph in a 45 mph zone), violation of graduated licensing restrictions, and was arrested Feb. 7 at Route 12 and Deer Park Boulevard, Deer Park. Bond was set at $1,500.
• Noel Villa, 26, of the 300 block of Susan Circle, Park City, is accused of aggravated speeding (80 mph in a 45 mph zone), no insurance, and was arrested Feb. 8 at Wadsworth Road and Lewis Avenue, Beach Park. Bond was set at $2,000 and a court date of March 28 was assigned.
• Joshua M. Marquez, 19, of the 1000 block of W. Myrtle Street, Palatine, is accused of aggravated speeding (75 mph in a 40 mph zone), illegal transportation of cannabis, and was arrested Feb. 12 at Ela Road and Long Grove Road, Deer Park. Bond was set at $1,500.

BATTERY

• Erick Flores, 27, of the 38400 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park, is accused of aggravated battery to a peace officer, driving under the influence of alcohol, fleeing to elude, driving while license suspended, resisting arrest, and was arrested Feb. 7 at Sheridan Road and Crissy Avenue, Beach Park. Bond was set at $150,000 and a court date of March 8 was assigned.
• A juvenile is accused of battery, and was arrested Feb. 8 in the 25200 block of W. Woodland Terrace, Unincorporated Lake Villa. A referral was made to juvenile court, with a future court date to be determined at the time of the report.
• Thomas R. Brunner, 39, of the 26000 block of W. Lakeview Avenue, Ingleside, is accused of battery, and was arrested Feb. 9 in the 41800 block of N. Lotus Avenue, Unincorporated Antioch. Bond was set at $1,500 and a court date of Feb. 24 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Jesus Tavares Lozano, 34, of the 3100 block of Galilee Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, open transportation of alcohol, and was arrested Feb. 7 at Wadsworth and Green Bay roads, Beach Park. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 2 was assigned.
• Justin V. Ortiz, 22, of the 100 block of Washington Road, Lake Forest, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Feb. 8 in the 10300 block of W. Waldo Avenue, Beach Park. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 23 was assigned.
• Daniel Reyes-Tellez, 41, of the 26300 block of South Street, Ingleside, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, no insurance, and was arrested Feb. 9 in Ingleside. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 23 was assigned.
• Edson A. Barrera, 22, of the 1400 block of Muirfield Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated speeding (72 mph in a 40 mph zone), and was arrested Feb. 11 at Sheridan and Blanchard roads, Beach Park. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 21 was assigned.
• Michael A. Lutz, 55, of the 42500 block of N. Forest Lane, Unincorporated Antioch, is accused of having a warrant out of McHenry County for driving under the influence, and was arrested Feb. 12 in Unincorporated Antioch. Bond was set at $10,000 and a future court date in McHenry County was to be determined at the time of the report.
• Shante M. Powell Morris, 40, of the 2400 block of 24th Place, North Chicago, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, no insurance, and was arrested Feb. 12 at Wadsworth Avenue and Lewis Avenue, Beach Park. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 21 was assigned.
• Thomas B. Schaefer, 37, of the 800 block of Country Drive, Barrington, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Feb. 12 at Route 59 and Amber Way, Unincorporated Lake Villa. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 30 was assigned.
• Audrey L. Adams, 38, of the 1100 block of Acre Lane, Johnsburg, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Feb. 12 at Route 12 and 176, Wauconda. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 21 was assigned.
• Bernardo Pedroza Arellano, 27, of the 500 block of Timber Drive, Harvard, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Feb. 12 at Route 41 and Kelly Road, Wadsworth. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of April 6 was assigned.
• Eddie A. Little, 48, of the 1900 block of Joppa Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while license revoked, and was arrested Feb. 13 in the 36300 block of Route 41, Unincorporated Gurnee. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 23 was assigned.
• Roman Benito Flores, 38, of the 500 block of Piper Lane, Prospect Heights, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, open transportation of alcohol, and was arrested Feb. 13 in the 20500 block of Milwaukee Avenue, Unincorporated Deerfield. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of April 16 was assigned.
• Bello Gomez Rogello, 35, of the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, no insurance, and was arrested Feb. 13 at N. Manor Avenue and Edgewood Road Beach Park. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 30 was assigned.

DRIVING WITH A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE

• Jakiev D. Hudson, 25, of the 1600 block of 10th Street, Winthrop Harbor, is accused of driving while license suspended, ad was arrested Feb. 8 at Sheridan and Ganster roads, Beach Park. Bond was set at $1,500.
• Carlos Velente Garcia, 26, of the 600 block of McKinley Avenue, Mundelein, is accused of driving while license suspended, illegal transportation of cannabis, no insurance, and was arrested Feb. 8 at Route 60/83 and Diamond Lake Road, Mundelein. Bond was set at $2,000.
• Andre B. Harden, 40, of the 2200 block of Kingston Road, Waukegan, is accused of driving while license suspended, and was arrested Feb. 10 at Wadsworth Road and Lewis Avenue, Beach Park. Bond was set at $1,500.
• James D. Alexander, III, 33, of the 38700 block of Sheridan Road, Beach Park, is accused of driving while license revoked, and was arrested Feb 11 in Beach Park. Bond was set at $1,500.
• Tammy K. Witherspoon, 35, of the 2200 block of Galilee Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving while license revoked, driving with suspended registration, no insurance, and was arrested Feb. 11, at Sheridan and Beach roads, Beach Park. Bond was set at $2,000.
• Chanel McClinton, 38, of the 500 block of W. Kristina, Round Lake, is accused of driving while license suspended, and was arrested Feb. 12 at Route 120 and Hunt Club Road, Unincorporated Gurnee. Bond was set at $1,500.

VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

Lee M. Pippin, 40, of the 26100 block of Blackhawk Avenue, Ingleside, is accused of violation of an order of protection, and was arrested Feb. 9, in the 0-100 block of S. Martin Luther King, Jr., Avenue, Waukegan. Bond was set at $100,000 and a court date of March 7 was assigned.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO GOVERNMENT PROPERTY

Charles M. Rojas, 32, of the 200 block of Julian Street, Waukegan, is accused of criminal damage to government property, and was arrested Feb. 9 at Lake County Jail. He is being held on other charges and was assigned a court date of March 3.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Kevin W. Cartwright, 52, of Racine, Wisconsin, is accused of criminal damage to property, and was arrested Feb. 9 in the 37700 block of Sheridan Road, Beach Park. Bond was set at $1,500 and a court date of March 7 was assigned.

THEFT

Cipriano I. Leguizamo, 49, no permanent address, is accused of having a warrant for theft, and was arrested Feb. 9 at Sheridan Road and Talmage Avenue, Beach Park. Bond was set at $100,000 and a court date of Feb. 16 was assigned.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A STOLEN VEHICLE

Edwin Ortega, 20, of the 800 block of Prescott Street, Waukegan, is accused of unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle, and a warrant out of Kenosha County, Wisconsin, for armed robbery, and was arrested Feb. 10 in the 42600 block of N. Kilbourne Road, Unincorporated Zion. Bond was set at $1,000,000 and a court date of Feb. 16 was assigned.

NO VALID COMMERCIAL DRIVER'S LICENSE

Javlan Tukhtamuratov, 46, of the Baltimore, Maryland, is accused of no valid commercial driver's license, exceeding gross vehicle weight rating, and was arrested Feb. 11 at Route 12 and Russell Drive, Volo. Bond was set at $1,500.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Daniel Abarca, 31, of the 1500 block of Salem Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of having a warrant for disorderly conduct, and was arrested Feb. 11 in Waukegan. Bond was set at $30,000 and a court date of Feb. 17 was assigned.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

• Brian A. Babieczko, 34, of Unincorporated Grayslake, is accused of aggravated domestic battery — strangulation, domestic battery in the presence of a child, and was arrested Feb. 12 in Unincorporated Grayslake. Bond was set at $75,000 and a court date of Feb. 17 was assigned.
• Brett A. Smock, 49, of Unincorporated Antioch, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested Feb. 12 in Unincorporated Antioch. Bond was set at $20,000 and a court date of Feb. 16 was assigned.

HOME INVASION

Joseph R. Sallis, 50, of Springfield, is accused of home invasion, domestic battery, criminal trespass to a residence, and a warrant out of Mississippi for a parole violation, and was arrested Feb. 12 in Unincorporated Antioch. Bond was set at $150,000 and a court date of March 8 was assigned.

NO DRIVER'S LICENSE

David F. Solomon, 50, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is accused of no driver's license, no insurance, and was arrested Feb. 12 at Route 41 and Stearns School Road, Unincorporated Gurnee. Bond was set at $2,000.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON

Ryan L. May, 35, of the 39200 block of Carol Lane, Beach Park, is accused of unlawful possession of a weapon, driving while license suspended no insurance, and was arrested Feb. 13 at Wadsworth Road and Lewis Avenue, Beach Park. Bond was set at $2,000 and a court date of March 16 was assigned.

FEDERAL PROBATION VIOLATION

Lemont Harris, 39, of the 1800 block of N. Lewis Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of having a waarrant from the U.S. Marshals Service for a federal probation violation, and was arrested Feb. 13 at Route 59 and Monaville Road, Unincorporated Lake Villa. No bail was set and a future court date in federal courts was to be determined at the time of the report.
