Illinois State Police Squad Car Struck By SUV In Deerfield
An ISP trooper and the driver of a minivan suffered minor injuries after a marked squad car was struck Tuesday morning on Deerfield Road.

DEERFIELD, IL — Two people were taken to hospital with minor injuries after a three-car crash Tuesday in Deerfield involving a state trooper's squad car, according to police and fire officials.
Shortly before 9:30 a.m., the driver of a blue Dodge Durango SUV struck a marked Illinois State Police squad car headed west on Deerfield Road at the intersection of Rosemary Terrace, according to Trooper Duane Chappell, citing the results of a preliminary investigation.
The SUV was making a left turn onto Rosemary Terrace when it struck the state trooper's vehicle, causing it to collide with a white Toyota minivan that was headed south on Rosemary Terrace at the time, according to Chappell.

Crews from the Deerfield-Bannockburn Fire Department took the state trooper and a woman who was behind the wheel of the minivan to an area hospital, Chappell said. Fire officials described both of their injuries as minor. No further information was available from police while the investigation continues.
