Thief Runs From Police, Provides False Info: Riverwoods PD Blotter

Police said a brief foot pursuit occurred upon meeting with the accused.

RIVERWOODS, IL — The following information comes from the Riverwoods Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Javontae L. Williams, 18, is accused of theft, resisting a peace officer, obstructing identity, and was arrested at 12:57 p.m. July 12 in the area of a business in the 2000 block of Milwaukee Road. Police said an employee reported Williams had just exited the store and was the same person who committed a theft at the location on June 15. Police said a brief foot pursuit occurred upon their arrival and that Williams supplied false information once in custody, leading to the two additional charges.

  • Nicholas G. Goergen, 31, of the 1800 block of Warren Avenue, Downers Grove, is accused of speeding, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 2:48 a.m. July 15, near Lake Cook and Portwine roads. He was released after posting a $3,000 bond and was assigned a court date of Aug. 16.
  • Francisco J. Lopez-Santos, 50, of the 4900 block of N. St. Louis Avenue, Chicago, is accused of speeding, no valid driver's license, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 10:11 p.m. July 8, near Deerfield and Portwine roads. He was released after posting a $3,000 bond and was assigned a court date of Aug. 9.
  • Thomaas Jon Piazzi, 33, of the 800 block of W. Agatite Avenue, Chicago, is accused of speeding, open transportation of alcohol, unlawful possession of cannabis, driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 6:31 p.m. July 9, near the 1000 block of Saunders Road. He was released after posting a $3,000 bond and was assigned a court date of Aug. 9.
