'Top Cop' Records Most DUI Arrests In County: Lake County Sheriff

LAKE COUNTY, IL — There's a reason they call Michael Turkson a "Top Cop." The Lake County Sheriff's Office Deputy recorded the highest number of DUI arrests in Lake County last year, with 55.

The LCSO said Turkson recorded more DUI arrests than any other deputy or police officer in Lake County as recored by the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists.

"Deputy Turkson and his colleagues do a terrific job identifying and arresting drivers who are drunk or driving high," Sheriff John D. Idleburg said in a news release. "The members of our staff understand the risks drunk and high drivers place on everyone else."
