Vermicomposting (composting with worms) is a great way to reuse and recycle. This fun program for youth in grades 1-8 will show how to make fertilizer from food scraps. It is excellent for small spaces and easy to put together. One lucky winner will go home with a vermicomposting kit, complete with worms. The program is scheduled for Monday, May 19, 4:30 p.m. at the Deerfield Public Library, 920 Waukegan Road. Register in advance in person, online at www.deerfieldlibrary.org (click on "Programs and Classes" tab), or by calling 847-580-8962.
