Village Of Deerfield: Non-Emergency Village Offices Closed On Memorial Day

Non-Emergency Village offices will be closed Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day. LRS collection will be delayed by one day that week.

Join Deerfield American Legion Post 738 at 10 a.m. on May 27 at the veterans memorial at Jewett Park for their annual Memorial Day ceremony. The featured speaker is Anne Jamieson, the Assistant Manager of Adult Services at the Deerfield Public Library, who oversees the local history and genealogy resources. She has a background and interest in local history research and has been discovering Deerfield history for the past 12 years during her time at Deerfield Public Library.

After a short ceremony at the memorial, they will walk to the cemetery for the second part of the program, including taps and a three-round volley of fire.
