Village Of Deerfield: Sensory Friendly Area New At Deerfield Family Days
The area will be open from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. July 4 at Jewett Park.

The Deerfield Bannockburn Riverwoods (DBR) Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Deerfield Lions Club, GiGi’s Playhouse, KGH Autism Services and the Village of Deerfield are pleased to announce a new Sensory Friendly Area for individuals with special needs at Deerfield Family Days on Tuesday, July 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Jewett Park in Deerfield.

The Sensory Friendly Area is a separate, quieter area with soft seating, games and activities specially designed for those with sensory challenges and other special considerations. All ages are welcome, but a parent or caregiver must accompany and remain with children.
The Sensory Friendly Area is located at the north end of Jewett Park, near Hazel Avenue.

The Sensory Friendly Area is designed to allow those with special needs to attend Deerfield Family Days with family and friends in a less overwhelming environment. Please understand this area is not open to everyone but designed for those who need it.
