Wisconsin Felon Attempts To Buy Gun: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter
The 24-year-old is accused of the crime in Beach Park and is being held in the Lake County Jail, according to police.

Akiah Robinson, 26, of the 22100 block of N. 24th Street, unincorporated Barrington, is accused of endangering the life of a child, and was arrested Sept. 30. Robinson was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 18.
SPEEDING

Patrick Carlton, 60, of the 29100 block of 30th Street, Zion, is accused of aggravated speeding (89 mph in a 45 mph zone), no insurance, and was arrested Sept. 30 at St. Mary's Road and Sanctuary Lane, unincorporated Libertyville. He was released following his arrest.
NO DRIVER'S LICENSE
Jesus C. Deleon, 34, of the 28900 block of Pondview Drive, Lakemoor, is accused of having no driver's license, suspended registration, and was arrested Oct. 1 at Route 83 and Gilmer Road, Long Grove. He was released following his arrest.
UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON BY A FELON
Christopher S. Carstens, 24, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, is accused of aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, and was arrested Oct. 2 at W. Everett Street and N. Charleston Road, Beach Park. He was being detained at the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of Oct. 31.

BATTERY
- Jacorey N. McKnight, 18, of the 1300 block of Carter Court, Waukegan, is accused of battery, and was arrested Oct. 3 at the Lake County Jail. He was being held there on other charges at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of Oct. 22.
- Erica K. Cross, 42, of the 39600 block of Lynsee Court, Beach Park, is accused of aggravated battery, domestic battery, and was arrested Oct. 4 in unincorporated Vernon Hills. She was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 17.
UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
Joshua J. McCarthy, 37, of the 2600 block of Gilead Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, attempted obstruction of identification, and was arrested Oct. 3 at Lewis Avenue and Beach Road, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 21.
DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED
- Gilberto Valdez Martinez, 23, of the 8300 block of Aurora Avenue, Aurora, is accused of driving while license suspended, no insurance, had a warrant for obstructing a peace officer, and was arrested Oct. 4 at Route 12 and Cuba Road, Kildeer. He was released on the Lake County charges and the Cook County charges for the warrant were to be determined at the time of the report.
- Sandra V. Gomez, 31, of the 33500 block of N. Royal Oak Road, unincorporated Grayslake, had a warrant out of McHenry County for driving while license suspended, and was arrested Oct. 6 in the 33500 block of N. Royal Oak Road, unincorporated Grayslake. A future court date in McHenry County was to be determined at the time of the report.
ATTEMPTED POSSESSION OF COCAINE
Garney Lester, 55, of the 3300 block of First Avenue, McHenry, is accused of attempted possession of cocaine, and was arrested Oct. 6 in the 29400 block of N. Gilmer Road, unincorporated Grayslake. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 30.
