Woman Killed After Crashing Into Deerfield Sandwich Shop: Reports
The victim was pronounced dead after crashing into Tony's Subs in Deerfield early Saturday morning, reports said.
DEERFIELD, IL — A woman is dead after her car crashed into a Deerfield sandwich shop early Saturday morning, according to multiple reports citing authorities.
The crash happened around 2:25 a.m. at Tony's Subs at 1480 Waukegan Rd around 2 a.m. Saturday, according to a Fox 32 report citing police.
The driver, who was the only person in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene, reports said.

The crash's impact damaged one of the building's support columns, CBS Chicago reported.
"It was heavy vehicle damage, and the vehicle rolled over, and they struck the building, and the building department is being notified," Deputy Chief Ray Larson told the station.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
