Jonte C. Mellanson, 22, of the 4000 block of Brigadoon Drive, Zion, is accused of aggravated speeding (101 mph in a 40 mph zone), no driver's license, and was arrested Jan. 4 at 27th Street and Lewis Avenue, Zion. Bond was set at $1,500.

Kyle S. Smith, 38, of the 1800 block of Dugdale Road, Waukegan, is accused of having a warrant for criminal trespass to residence, and was arrested Jan. 5 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. Bond was set at $50,000 and a court date of Jan. 12 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

  • Barry M. Collins, 57, of the 25300 block of Park Court, Unincorporated Lake Villa, is accused of having a warrant for driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Jan. 5 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. Bond was set at $252,000 and a court date of Jan. 13 was assigned.
  • Gustavo A. Ferrera-Ponce, 28, of the 600 block of Pontiac Court, Round Lake Heights, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated speeding (100 mph in a 55 mph zone), no insurance, and was arrested Jan. 6 at I-94 and Route 120, Unincorporated Waukegan. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 2 was assigned.
  • William R. Brey, 53, of the 500 block of Mara Lynn, Round Lake, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Jan. 7 at Route 134 and Wilson Road, Ingleside. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 2 was assigned.
  • Daniel Escudero, 23, of the 800 block of Larkdale Row, Wauconda, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Jan. 7 at Route 120 and N. McNally Lane, Lakemoor. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 2 was assigned.

NO DRIVER'S LICENSE

Justin E. Bonner, 27, of Muncie, Indiana, is accused of no driver's license, no insurance, and was arrested Jan. 5 at Lake Shore Drive and Lake Drive, Unincorporated Antioch. Bond was set at $2,000.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

  • Robert W. Juech, 37, of Unincorporated Round Lake, is accused of domestic battery, unlawful restraint, interfering with the reporting of domestic violence, and was arrested Jan. 5 in Unincorporated Round Lake. Bond was set at $100,000 and a court date of Jan. 27 was assigned.
  • Nicholas M. Ruiz, 19, of Ingleside, is accused of aggravated domestic battery involving strangulation, and was arrested Jan. 7 in Ingleside. Bond was set at $20,000 and a court date of Jan. 12 was assigned.
  • Christopher L. Turner, 42, of Round Lake, is accused of domestic battery, disorderly conduct, and was arrested Jan. 8 in Unincorporated Lake Villa. Bond was set at $50,000 and a court date of Jan. 31 was assigned.

MANUFACTURING CANNABIS

Deandre D. Johnson, 36, of the 0-100 block of 110th Place, Chicago, is accused of having a warrant for manufacturing cannabis, driving while license revoked, and was arrested Jan. 6 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. Bond was set at $75,000 and a court date of Jan. 11 was assigned.

BATTERY

Clay Jones, 40, of the 1300 block of Eastview Drive, Waukegan, is accused of having a warrant for aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, and was arrested Jan. 6 in the 500 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. Bond was set at $250,000 and a court date of Jan. 12 was assigned.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED

  • Vincente Merced, 27, of the 100 block of Rosewood Drive, Streamwood, is accused of driving while license suspended, no insurance, and was arrested Jan. 6 at Dowell and Darrell roads, Unincorporated Wauconda. Bond was set at $2,000.
  • Quentin L. Newbrey, 32, of the 4200 block of Jay Drive, Zion, is accused of driving while license suspended, failure to secure child in safety restraint, and was arrested Jan. 7 at Sheridan Road and Crissy Lane, Beach Park. Bond was set at $1,500.
  • Norma A. Gallegos, 29, of the 3400 block of Colgate Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving while license revoked, and was arrested Jan. 8 at Sheridan Road and Howard Street, Beach Park. Bond was set at $1,500.

THEFT

Herman W. Damore, 58, of the 2200 block of N. Canterbury Lane, Round Lake Beach, is accused of theft, and was arrested Jan. 7 in the 36700 block of N. Route 83, Unincorporated Lake Villa. Bond was set at $1,500 and a court date of Feb. 3 was assigned.

ESCAPE

Malik R. Moore, 26, of Zion, is accused of having a warrant for escape, domestic battery, and new charges of obstructing justice, driving while license suspended, no insurance, and was arrested Jan. 9 in Zion. Bond was set at $350,000 and a court date of Jan. 27 was assigned.
