With nearly 600 partner school districts and 37 licensure programs, NIUās work directly shapes who teaches local children and strengthens the educator pipeline across northern Illinois.

Jim Rhoades' legacy lives on through new law enforcement scholarship fund (northernstar.info) ā A new Jim Rhoades Law Enforcement Scholarship Fund will support DeKalb High School graduates pursuing policing careers, honoring the cityās longest-serving officer.
