Firefighters Rescue Resident From Park Ridge House Fire (journal-topics.com) — Firefighters from Park Ridge, assisted by Des Plaines and several nearby departments, rescued a resident from a serious house fire Sunday on the 2000 block of Milton Avenue. Crews battled heavy flames, transported the victim to the hospital, and contained the blaze in under an hour, though the cause remains under investigation and damage is estimated at $300,000.
