1. Woman Accused Of Headbutting Officer: Des Plaines Blotter (patch.com) — Des Plaines residents can read how police handled a series of late-September incidents, including a crash investigation where an Evanston woman allegedly battered officers and a local man was arrested on a warrant. The blotter also details a revoked-license charge after a pedestrian crash and a BMW driver who sped away from an attempted traffic stop near Rand Road and I-294.
2. Car Flips In Roadway, Driver Charged With Aggravated DUI: Des Plaines Blotter (patch.com) — Recent Des Plaines police reports detail several serious incidents, including an overturned car crash that led to an aggravated DUI charge, multiple other DUI arrests, and domestic battery cases across local neighborhoods. Residents are also warned about two overnight vehicle thefts, a sizable retail theft at Jewel-Osco, and several hit-and-run crashes, underscoring the importance of staying alert and reporting suspicious activity.
3. A veteran sergeant fired three shots after confronting Babidi, who held an electric hedge trimmer during what his mother described as a mental health crisis, and multiple agencies will review the use of force and department policies.
