Resurrection Medical Group Welcomes New Des Plaines Family Medicine Practice

Family medicine physicians, Peter Kiefer, M.D., Ejaz Ahmed Khan, M.D., Thaddeus Zamirowski, M.D., and Lenus Damasaru, M.D., are the newest doctors to join Resurrection Medical Group. The new practice is located at 1792 E. Oakton Street, Des Plaines, Illinois, its focus is on establishing a personal connection with all patients.

Dr. Kiefer received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He is on the Medical Staff of Resurrection Medical Center, where he completed his residency in family medicine. He also teaches day-to-day primary care to first year medical students at Rush Medical College in Chicago. He is fluent in English and German, and his clinical interests are diabetes, weight loss, adolescent health, geriatric care and preventive medicine.

A graduate of Sindh Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan, Dr. Khan continued his postgraduate work in otolaryngology at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center, Karachi, Pakistan. He is on the Medical Staff of Resurrection Medical Center, where he completed is residency in family medicine.  His clinical interests are diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and preventive health care, including immunizations. Dr. Khan is fluent in English, Urdu and Punjabi.

Dr. Zamirowski received his medical degree from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, and completed his residency in family medicine at Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital. He offers a holistic approach to the long-term care of his patients, with personalized treatment for each individual. His clinical interests include alternative therapies and preventative medicine.  

Board eligible in family medicine, Dr. Lenus Damasaru received her medical degree from the Universitatea de Medicina si Farmacie “Carol Davila” Bucuresti in Romania, and completed her residency in family medicine at Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center. She is fluent in Romanian, Spanish and English, and her clinical interests include preventative care and women’s health.
