Announcement of Election for Park Commissioner of the Golf Maine Park District
If you are interested in running for the position of Park Commissioner for the Golf Maine Park District, it's time to take the first step.
The Golf Maine Park District will be accepting Petitions of Nomination from December 12
through December 19, 2016, for two (2) six-year terms to serve as Park Commissioner of the
Golf Maine Park District. Any individual who is a registered voter and a resident of the Golf

Maine Park District for at least one year prior to the election is eligible to hold this office.
The office of Commissioner is an elected position with no financial remuneration.

Commissioners will be selected by vote of the community in the Consolidated Election to be
held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. The Board of Park Commissioners meets formally at 7 p.m., on
the third Thursday of each month, for regular Board meetings and for special meetings when
necessary. A minimum time requirement of ten (10) hours per month is reasonable to expect in a
typical month, but may vary, as needed.

Golf Maine Park District Feldman Recreation Center, 8800 W. Kathy Lane, Niles, Illinois,
during regular business hours to obtain election materials.
