The Burke Group's first Recycling and Donation event a success
Over a ton of recyclables and donations collected at TBGreen event
On Friday, Oct. 2 and Saturday, Oct. 3, The Burke Group (TBG) hosted a community recycle and donation event that allowed TBG employees and local residents to donate used and unwanted items as well as recyclable items like electronics, batteries, and wood pallets.
Their efforts helped keep over a ton of electronics, linens, and appliances out of landfills and, in many cases, put them in the hands of those in need. In all, over twenty cubic yards of goods were recycled and donated.
“We are incredibly proud of our efforts at our very first TBGreen event,” said Christopher B. Burke, PhD, PE, D.WRE, Dist.M.ASCE, president of The Burke Group. “Not only are we helping to keep these items out of landfills, but we are helping to provide items to those in need.”
