Dia de los Muertos activities at Des Plaines History Center

Paint sugar skulls, race pumpkins, and view Día de los Muertos altars at Des Plaines History Center, Oct. 24, 11-4.

After the Halloween Parade in downtown Des Plaines Saturday, October 24, children are invited to paint sugar skulls, race pumpkins, and view Día de los Muertos altars from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Des Plaines History Center, 781 Pearson Street. Sugar skull painting is $3 per child for non-members, $2 for members. Visit desplaineshistory.org or call the History Center at 847-391-5399 for more information.

These Día de los Muertos events are sponsored by the Des Plaines History Center and the Kiwanis Club of Des Plaines. The History Center is supported by the City of Des Plaines, the Des Plaines Park District, its members, and other local business and community contributors.
