DES PLAINES CAMERA CLUB RESULTS FOR NOVEMBER, 2014, PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION

The Des Plaines Camera Club offers members the opportunity to enter images into competition in both print and electronic formats. Between September and May, Image of the Month awards, Print of the Month, as well as Awards and Honorable Mentions, are presented for both formats. The last competition occurred on November 24, 2014. Print of the Month, December, was awarded to Jerry Hug for’ Paper Kite Butterfly ’.

· DPI (Digital Image) of the Month, December, was awarded to Marie Rakoczy for ‘Equine Beauty’.

· Print of the Month, January, was awarded to Mary Doody for ‘Forgotten House ’.

· DPI (Digital Image) of the Month, January, was awarded to Jerry Hug for ‘Another View ’.

In addition, Awards went to Gary Taylor for ‘Big Bird’; and Robert Wallace for ‘Nectar Seeker’. Honorable Mentions were presented to Jerry Hug for ‘looking Up’, David Waycie for ‘Down the Hatch’ and ‘Rainbow Bridge’ and Jane Ballengee for ‘OOPS’. Whatever level of interest in photography you have, all are cordially invited to attend a meeting. The Des Plaines Camera Club meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month September thru May. Meetings are at 7:00pm in the Des Plaines Park District Arndt Field House located at 1990 White Street in Des Plaines. Watch for announcements of special programs that will be coming up.
