The Des Plaines Park District and Forest Knights Chess Club host Tournament

Many young chess players participated in Saturday's Swiss-Style chess tournament.

Jain Lojewski and Michael Yelich (above) enjoy the tough competition but enjoy the camaraderie between friends even more. They both competed in the annual chess tournament sponsored by the Des Plaines Park District and the Forest Knights Chess Club on Saturday, November 8 at Prairie Lakes Community Center. The tournament is a no-elimination style of play where everyone participates in all five rounds known as Swiss-Style competition.
