Eid al Fitr held in All over in world, marking the end of Ramadan

Millions of Muslims worldwide—including thousands in Chicago, the largest city of the US state of Illinois—celebrated their Islamic Eid.

After Ramadan, Muslims celebrated with food, festivities, and Eid greetings in all the USA's cities.

On Wednesday, April 10, 2024, millions of Muslims worldwide—including thousands in Chicago, the largest city of the US state of Illinois—celebrated their Islamic Eid. Muslims around the world demonstrate their enthusiasm for their religion and support for their Muslim counterparts in Syria, Burma, Yemen, Palestine, and Kashmir.

Eid prayers were held in more than 200 mosques and centers throughout the Chicago area; however, this year's prayers were held in protest of the thousands of Muslims—including innocent children—who lost their lives as a result of Israeli aggression and cruelty in Gaza and Palestine, which lasted for six months and destroyed hundreds of settlements and buildings. This Eid gathering and prayers should take place in a large space, as agreed upon by the local imams and community leaders.

Rosemont Convention, a large complex, was chosen as an outcome. With an estimated 10,000 devotees in attendance, it marked Chicago's second-ever Eid celebration. Every year, approximately 25,000 individuals attended the largest gathering, which was held at Bridgeview Stadium for the Eid prayers.

The Eid prayer was scheduled for 9:30, while the start of Takbeerat was scheduled for 8:30. However, people began to arrive earlier than 9:00, and Takbeerat began on Eid. After parking their cars in the lot, people had to walk a considerable distance and wait in a line. It took twenty minutes to go to the Convention Prayer Hall from there. The prayer hall was packed to capacity. Due to the overwhelming number of people, the majority of places in Chicago and its suburbs had to move up their prayer times to 8:30 am. Additionally, several places offered two or more Eid prayers.

For the occasion of Eid, the federal, state, and local governments released a special message and greeting for Muslims.

The United States of America is celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr with religious enthusiasm on Wednesday, much like many other countries throughout the world. Every American city, large and small, had Eid al-Fitr prayers, in which thousands of people took part.

One of the state's oldest mosques, the Mosque Foundation in Bridgeview, Illinois, is unique in that it broadcasts two of the five daily prayers twice a day. During the winter, it is also permissible to broadcast the Zuhr, Asr, and Maghrib prayers three times a day.

In their prayers for world peace on Eid, the Muslim scholars stressed the importance of the Muslim Ummah's unity, solidarity, and stability. Peace in Palestine in particular.

To facilitate prayer, many congregations ask that members and devotees bring their own prayer mats due to popularity.

Multiple and large gathering prayers were held at the Islamic Center of Naperville, Masjid Al-Huda in Schaumburg, Islamic Foundation in Villa Park, Islamic Foundation North in Libertyville, Muslim Community Center in Morton Grove, and a Many more locations.
