On Saturday, June 18, 2011, The First United Methodist Church of Des Plaines will hold a Battle of the Bands from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. The competition will take place on the front lawn of the church. In the event of inclement weather, the competition will be moved inside. There will be food, drinks and snacks for sale. Musicians and vocalists of all ages and skill levels are welcome! Drum kit, keyboard and amp are provided. Language and attire appropriate please.
First prize will be a $100 cash award.
There is no entry fee for this event; however a collection basket will be available for donations of non-perishable items for the Self Help Closet & Food Pantry of Des Plaines
