The November meeting of the Des Plaines Art Guild will be held Friday, November 12, at 7:00pm at Prairie Lakes Community Center, 515 E. Thacker Street. Artist Brian Sauerland will demonstrate the art of pastels in landscapes, still lifes, and portraits. Sauerland seeks to find the beauty in everyday life and he creates paintings about observing, reacting to and absorbing the colors found in nature. Artists, art aficionados, and guests are welcome. Members: Free. Guests: $3. Refreshments served.
