
On Thursday, June 9 the Des Plaines History Center will host a special event from 6 p.m - 8 p.m. featuring amateur movies made in Des Plaines.
The event will be held in the Visitor Center, 781 Pearson Street. A $5 donation is suggested at the door.
Movie Night will include a short thriller made during the 1970s, The Mask With Eyes, which features Dave and Russ Hund, who will be at the event to talk about making the movie, footage of Frontier Days, a festival from 1950 where people dressed up like pioneers/cowboys, United Motor Coach, downtown Des Plaines, the flood of 1986, a driver’s ed training film, and more.
Free popcorn will be served during the event while supplies last.
