Kick off the holiday season at this two-day family festival. Sponsored by the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce, the Frisbie Senior Center, and the Des Plaines Park District, Winter Wonderland features: free pictures with Santa; free admission; free parking; photo opportunities with Ronald McDonald, SkyGuy, Hubert the Lion, Jewels the Clown, and Kiwi the Clown; Ice carving demonstrations; a Holiday Bazaar; crafts for kids; Kids' Bingo; Story Time; Model Trains; and free entertainment including: Madrigal Singers; the O'Hare Irish Dancers; Sol Azteca; Artistry in Motion; The NoteAbles; Handbell Choir, and a Guitar Ensemble. The History Center will be roasting chestnuts and there will be lots of delicious food and refreshing beverages to enjoy. Fun for the whole family!
