In Warrenville, Illinois the Kisat Diabetes Organization held their annual 5K walk at the St. James Farm Pavilion in Warrenville on Sunday, July 28, 2024. At precisely 8 a.m., the program proceeded with a free diabetes screening. A 5 k walk, informative activities, Yoga, smoothie biking, a slide show, a diabetes quiz, and a filling lunch were all provided. At 12:00, the program ends.In honor of Pakistani American Saifuddin Kisat, the Kisat Diabetes Organization (KDO) was established to help stop other people from experiencing the same diabetes-related problems that he had. The non-profit Kisat Diabetes Organization works to increase public knowledge of diabetes, including its management, prevention, and the value of living a healthy lifestyle.
The Kisat Diabetes Organization is a worldwide, all-inclusive network of partners and affiliates from all professional backgrounds who are passionate about diabetes. They encourage year-round, official and informal education on diabetes treatment and prevention. For the walk, registration was required. Every participant had received a tote bag including a nutritious snack and a water bottle.

According to Dr. Chalisa, the founder of the Kisat Diabetes Organization, "losing a loved one from diabetes is very traumatic." As a practicing clinical endocrinologist, I have witnessed firsthand the difficulties a diabetic patient faces throughout their life. My view on life was drastically altered and my desire to assist those with diabetes was sparked when I witnessed my own father pass away from problems related to his diabetes. As a result, the Kisat Diabetes organization was established.

Established in 2017, the Kisat Diabetes Organization aims to raise awareness of diabetes and assist individuals in need by offering resources and education. Our group does more than just the yearly 5k walk. We also partner with other organizations to provide free diabetes screenings, educational events for individuals, communities, and senior centers, and other activities all year long.
The American Diabetes Association is only one of the many organizations that Kisat Diabetes has worked with since its founding.
Dr. Nuzhat Chalisa contends that diabetes need not be fatal. We are lucky to live at a time when diabetes is now a more manageable condition thanks to advances in research, new drugs, and technology. One can totally avoid diabetic complications by using the newest instruments, drugs, and technology. Our organization wants to educate people about the newest tools and technologies.

We organize events and programs all year long with the goal of educating those who are less fortunate. Our programs aim to manage diabetes and encourage a healthy lifestyle by educating participants about the disease, its risks, and its complications.
