Listen to cool sounds at the Oakton ‘Jazz Lounge’ Oct. 19

Oakton Community College’s Performing Arts Center, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines, will be transformed into a cool jazz lounge at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19. Listen to the award-winning Oakton Jazz Band, directed by Robert Evans, as it entertains with a blend of classic and jazz standards.
Evans is an accomplished performer, clinician and conductor throughout Illinois. Previously, he has served as director of bands at LaSalle-Peru High School and Homewood-Flossmoor High School.
Join this small combo with many musicians stepping out for featured solos in the Performing Arts Center’s intimate lobby.

General admission is $8 and $5 for students and seniors. Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the program at a reception.
