Multifaith & elected officials attend Eid dinner hosted by Urdu Samaj
Urdu Samaj Chicago Hold Interfaith Eid Dinner & Awards Ceremony. Aimed at honoring all religions and followers together.
On Friday, May 12, 2023, Urdu Samaj Chicago hosted an impressive interfaith Eid Dinner and Awards Ceremony at Mall of India, Naperville. The mission of the Urdu Samaj Chicago was to appreciate all religions and their prophets and to unite their adherents. It served to instill love and harmony.
More than 250 guests from the City of Chicago and its suburban neighborhoods, representing the Sikh, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, and Hindu faiths, attended the 5th annual Dinner.
More than 45 elected officials, including several suburban mayors and presidents, members of the county assembly, senior officials, interfaith leaders, and numerous local officials, attended the event. The Urdu Samaj Chicago's founder and president, Mr. Ali Khan, and all the other members extended a kind greeting to the visitors at the door. The Urdu Society of Chicago promotes literature, music, art, and culture in Urdu among adults and children. gives people a place to engage in constructive activities.

Mr. Ali Khan, the founder, and president of the Chicago Urdu Samaj is a well-known community and social activist in an interview with local media. "Several members of the community created the Chicago Urdu Samaj many years ago. In addition to promoting social, cultural, and literary linkages between the community and children and adults as well as offering a forum for constructive activities, the group intends to promote Urdu in the United States.
The Urdu Samaj of Chicago welcomes them to participate in its own events as well as those sponsored by other religions to promote interfaith cooperation in a caring environment. This enables followers of other religions to comprehend the morality and tolerance of Islam, Urdu, Chicago, and its suburban citizens.

The Urdu Samaj of Chicago promotes social and cultural events among individuals of all ages and is entirely non-profit. Events like the Singer Day, the Urdu Poetry Seminar, and the Eid Fest have all been held successfully in the past by the Urdu Samaj of Chicago
Zaki Basalath served as the master of ceremonies. The opening remarks were made by Mr. Ali Khan, the founder and president of the Urdu Society of Chicago. Vice President Dr. Emad also emphasized the Urdu Samaj of Chicago's historical programs. Dr. Saba Khan explains the urdu language's history. Dr. Khan has spent several years working in the fields of periodontics and dental implants.
Ranjeet Singh discusses the Sikh faith's stance on mankind. Pandit Ramesh Malhan focused on Hinduism, and Pastor Oketonga described the Christian faith.
Vice President of the Streamwood Park District Raees Yawer emphasized religious equality and similarity. Several Suburban presidents and mayors, including Chaudhry Asif Khokhar, Mayor Bolingbrook of Glendale Heights Village, Mary Alexander-Basta Mayor Bolingbrook, and Rodney Craig of Hanover Park, attended the occasion.
There was a lavish dinner served to everyone. Numerous well-known singers are included in musical entertainment.
