Oakton’s String Ensemble to take the stage March 13
Oakton's String Ensemble will play selections by composers including Johann Sebastian Bach and Scott Joplin at concert on March 13.

Join the Oakton Comumnity College String Ensemble at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, as the group performs pieces by noted composers including Johann Sebastian Bach, Scott Joplin, Jacques Mazas and Peter Warlock, at the college’s Performing Arts Center Lobby, 1600 E. Golf Road.
The event will include solos, duets, quartets and larger pieces written for strings and winds.
The ensemble is led by Daniel Golden, also a violin and viola instructor at Oakton. He serves as principal viola of the Lake Forest Symphony and also spent more than two decades as a professional musician with the Orchestra London Canada.

Light refreshments will be served following the performance.
