Shine on stage and audition for Oakton’s ‘Play On’

Oakton Community College is casting men and women actors of all ages and ethnicities for its “Play On” playwriting festival. Auditions are scheduled 6-9 p.m., Monday, June 11, and Tuesday, June 12, at the college’s Studio One Theater, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines. No appointment necessary.

Now in its 10th year, “Play On” features five original one-act plays and two monologues penned by Midwest community college students from Oakton, Oakland Community College (Michigan) and the University of Wisconsin–Baraboo/Sauk County. Come ready to do cold readings. Prepared monologues are encouraged but not necessary.
