Away from home for her first year at ULA, Sara Matthews (Minka Kelly) is optimistic about her college experience and living on campus. While decorating her dorm with pictures on the wall, a few of her neighbors invite her to a frat party, and all too eager to make new friends, she accepts.
Her naivety begins to show. But then again it's college, people are sociable. However Sara is the type of girl to drink punch at a frat party and think it’s just juice, and have no problem with a guy purposely spilling a drink on her just to talk to her.
Yes, this all really happened.

It's also a little weird that after one night of hanging with her resident hall neighbors, they're already her main group of friends. So when her roommate arrives, the trend continues.
Sara can’t wait to become acquainted with her new roommate Rebecca (Leighton Meester), who’s put up pictures of her own to decorate the dorm room -- sketches. But little does she know Rebecca is desperate for her friendship. As an aspiring fashion designer, Sara admires Rebecca style and art. But notices she clutches tightly to a sketch book that’s “off limits.” But Sara pays it no mind. Their best of roommates: they hang out, share clothes, and even closet space. Everything seems to be going great.

But when one of Sara’s gal pals leaves her stranded after a night out, Rebecca meets up with her and vows to never abandon her. This is the moment when Rebecca turns the crazy on. She begins obsessing over Sara and secretly threatens those close to her. She vies for Sara’s time; attempting to get her ex-boyfriend and new boyfriend, Stephen (Cam Gigandet) out of the picture.
When she discovers an unopened bottle of pills in Rebecca’s drawer for schizophrenia, she freaks. But it isn’t until Rebecca gets a tattoo just like hers which commemorates her late sister Emily, Sara realizes that she may be in danger.
In a word, this film is predictable. The previews spoil the movie. Unless you like psycho-thrillers -- I use that term loosely -- with little, to no surprise element, save your hard-earned money. Nothing too memorable from this one.
The only thing scary was the thought of Rebecca killing their pet kitten in the dryer. Just cruel. Really all this film has to offer is two beautiful women who happen to look identical -- I give Minka the edge for not being the nut-job. But even two beauties couldn’t save it, earning this film 1 0ut of 4 stars.
