Two Person Art Exhibit at Des Plaines Public Library

During April, the 3rd floor gallery of the Des Plaines Public Library will feature artwork by DPAG members Marilyn Perry and Mary Olson.

During the month of April, the 3rd floor gallery of the Des Plaines Public Library. 1501 Ellinwood Street, will feature the artwork of Marilyn Perry and Mary Olson, members of the Des Plaines Art Guild (dpag.org).

Marilyn Perry is a self-taught artist. She has taken classes at the Art Institute of Chicago and Oakton Community College for various drawing and painting courses and has also had classes under the tutelage of watercolorists Nancy Fortunato and Thelma Cornell Spain. Currently, Marilyn mainly works in watercolor, but sometimes adds pen and ink to her pieces. She has also enjoyed working in oil and acrylic. Asian art interests her and she finds inspiration in landscapes and architecture.

Mary Olson's watercolors are images that have evolved from what is in her mind's eye and she hopes to turn on each person's imagination, as well. She would be satisfied if all who view her artwork experience something different. Mary currently serves as membership chairperson for the DPAG.
