• WIU Noyce Project Welcomes Four New Scholars at Fall 2026 Signing Day Event (wiu.edu) — A Dixon student, biology major Ellie Bussan, has been named one of four new Noyce Scholars at Western Illinois University, earning substantial support for tuition, housing, books, and more. The NSF-funded program prepares future STEM teachers for high‑needs schools, giving Ellie access to conferences, workshops, and specialized training that could eventually benefit classrooms back home.
