2 Homes Burglarized In Westmont: Police

Police say more than $2,700 in jewelry was stolen from one home.

WESTMONT, IL — Westmont police are investigating two home burglaries that were reported within days of each other. In one of the burglaries, more than $2,700 in jewelry was stolen. The first burglary took place in the 300 block of W. Burlington Ave. and the second took place in the 200 block of W. Quincy St.

According to police, the Burlington Ave. resident said a suspect or suspects broke into their home sometime between June 17 and June 19. The resident told police they were not sure if anything had been stolen.

On June 19, a home in the 200 block of W. Quincy St. was burglarized sometime between 6:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., according to police. The victim told police the suspect(s) took more than $2,750 in jewelry from inside the home. Police say the residence had been left unlocked.
